Weather Announcement
As the cooler weather falls upon us, there are new guidelines on hours and Strick Cart Ettiquette.
1) If temps are 40 degrees or below the course will be closed for the day.
2) Carts MUST stay at the lowest points of the course (i.e., at the bottom of the slopes around the tee boxes, and 30 yds away from all sides of the greens. Avoid driving up steep slopes)
3) Riders must be seated IN THE CART!

Hackmotion Wrist Sensor
The golf swing is dependant on how well you can move the golf club through the swing and square the club face at impact, to the target.
-
Loft and Trajectory: Increased wrist flexion (bowing) at impact de-lofts the club and creates a lower, more penetrating ball flight. A slightly cupped (extended) wrist adds loft and results in a higher, weaker flight. A 1/8-inch difference in a golfer's impact position could dramatically alter the intended ball flight and launch angle.
-
Distance Loss/Gain: Proper flexion helps compress the ball, leading to more consistent and often longer shots. Inconsistent wrist positioning can lead to "thin" or "fat" shots (poor contact), which drastically reduce distance and control. The difference could easily be 10-30 yards in distance for a 150-yard shot, especially if the optimal compression is missed.

Swing Mechanics for Beginners
Learn the basics of how to hold the club correctly, proper position for your feet, head and shoulders. Learning proper takeaway, rotation, addressing the ball for contact and follow through.
Course Management and Rules
Now we're swinging with confidence and want to take it to the course. Each course is different and learning how to avoid trouble is a critical step to lower scores. Playing while learning we must be respectful to the rules and other players. Learn how to play in all situations and know how to be respectful.
Alignment
Now that you know how to swing, learn how to address the ball for contact. Learning your swing and what it does to the ball are very important to accurate finishes and landing on the course.
Controlling the Drive
Its the number 1 swing practiced but, never mastered. Learn when and how to hit different shots using the driver. Long and straight should come first.
Chipping and Putting
Mastering strokes within 50 yards of the green is the secret to lower scores. Chipping on to the green leaving it with an easy putt lowers scores. Learn the course management to approaching the greens.
Learn how to prepare for a new course with new players
Going to a new course alone and playing with a variety of players can teach you how to play your game and avoid the playing down or trying to play above your capability. Golf is 70% mental and 20% physical, 10% Luck.
