Weather Announcement
As the cooler weather falls upon us, there are new guidelines on hours and Strick Cart Ettiquette.
1) If temps are 40 degrees or below the course will be closed for the day.

​2) Carts MUST stay at the lowest points of the course (i.e., at the bottom of the slopes around the tee boxes, and 30 yds away from all sides of the greens. Avoid driving up steep slopes) Avoid the transition areas between the fairway and the green. (30yds in the fairway, go into the rough left or right of the Green, parking 30 yds from the fringe.)

3) Riders must be seated IN THE CART!

Junior Golfers in Pursuit of Eagles and Birdies...
The Rookery Pursuit Junior Golf league at Mellomar Golf Park is filling the need for Junior development in the world of golf. Calvert Counties hidden gem Mellomar Golf Park is a place to help golfers of all ages develop their golf skills with a variety of areas. The 9 hole executive course is our next level goal for our junior golfers. As any parent will tell you keeping a youngster interested requires challenges and variety, making Range time good for about an hour. Thats where the Par 3 course comes into the picture. The 9 hole Par 3 course; challenging in its own right, is the perfect place for our 14U juniors to develop the short game skills that will be the foundation for their pursuit of great golf at the High school level.

We will need some parental volunteers to help us keep track of all the action and make sure we provide a learning environment that taps into the competitive natures of our juniors.
​
Each registered Golfer will receive the Rookery Pursuit Junior Golf League Membership Card.
The Membership cards are good for the year they're issued. Each golfer will be able to experience discounts and benefits above the league challenges. Each Member will get a Small Bucket of balls free during the golf season to warm up with, they will compete on the Par 3 course where we will track team and individual play to earn rewards at season's end. The Registration fee covers the Par 3 League greens fees and 1 small bucket of balls.
The membership card will get you discounts on the Par 3 for practice all year long. Buckets will be reduced price if your junior wants to just practice on the range.

League will start March 18, 2026, every Wednesday till May 28, 2026 (10 weeks), Make up day for cancelled events held June 4, 2026. If no make up round is needed June 4, 2026 will also be our scheduled League Award ceremony.
